John R. O'Connor

John O'Connor currently serves as Treasurer of the Canadian Cancer Society - Rideau Branch. He is a member of the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Legal Technology and Chairman for the Westport "Longest Day of Golf" fundraiser, and is a former member of the Kinsman Club and past-President of the Simcoe Local Branch of the Big Brothers Association.

David G. Heeley



David graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He completed his law degree at the University of Ottawa and was called to the Bar in 1981.

David is an active member of the Perth Rotary Club and the Salvation Army. He has taught as a professor, part-time, at a number of colleges in Ontario including St. Lawrence College in Kingston.

David enjoys being involved in the community, getting to know people, working hard for worthwhile organizations and spending time outdoors.

David practices in the areas of civil litigation, corporate, employment, personal injury, real estate, wills and estates and Workplace Safety & Insurance.

David has a lot of common sense and experience in many areas to mix with his legal background. He identifies and resolves issues as quickly, effectively and efficiently as possible and will guide you through the process with a continual flow of information from him to you.

S. Craig Halpenny



Craig is an associate with Barker Willson with a general practice extending into all areas of corporate-commercial, real estate and wills and estates law. Prior to joining Barker Willson, Craig practiced in a large firm in Toronto where he focused on corporate commercial matters with a particular emphasis on corporate finance and securities law. He joined Barker Willson in January 2005.

Craig graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy. He completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at Queen’s University and was called to the Bar in 2003. Craig is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the law associations in Ottawa and Lanark County.

Born and raised in Eastern Ontario (South Mountain) Craig enjoys being actively involved in the community and volunteering his time with local organizations. In addition, he finds time to play hockey several times a week, golf, curl and enjoy the outdoors.

Chris Clifford



Chris has joined our firm to practice exclusively in the area of personal injury law. Matters such as automobile accidents, wrongful death, boating accidents and any other injury related to someone else's wrongdoing. Chris graduated with his law degree from Queen's University and has been practicing law for over ten years. He is an active member of his community and played professional hockey for both the Chicago Blackhawk and Pittsburgh Penguin organizations.
