Adopt-a-Highway

In 2002 the Partners and staff of Barker Willson adopted a one-mile long section of Lanark County Rd. No. 1, otherwise known as the Rideau Ferry Road and committed to do a twice-yearly pick up of debris along the shoulders and ditches.  At the completion of our first 3 year term we received an award from the County and a sign showing our involvement was erected at both ends of "our" portion of the road.  We recommend this very worthwhile programme to other groups in the area.

We've had a lot of good exercise and fun doing the clean-ups; you never know what you'll find next!
