Barker Willson is built upon a foundation established in Perth in 1895, and has operated continuously to the present date. The current members of the firm are: Douglas B. James was called to the bar in 1974 and appointed a Deputy Small Claims Court Judge for Lanark County in 1987 and for the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton in 1993, now semi-retired and consulting through a transition period to introduce his previous and existing clients to Craig Halpenny. Barker Willson support staff includes a number of experienced Legal Assistants, many of whom are graduates of the two-year Legal Administration course at either Algonquin or St. Lawrence College.
